Pall Mall Barbers are supporting CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably, who are leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK, through frontline services, national campaigns, and by building communities.
They run a free and anonymous helpline and webchat service from 5pm to midnight 365 days a year for anybody who needs them at thecalmzone.net
Pall Mall Barbers are joining CALM in their movement against suicide by walking defiantly in the Lost Hours Walk this October. If you would like to join us and take a stand against suicide you can join the Pall Mall team in this free to enter virtual event HERE.
CALM’s services have been needed more than ever recently. In the five months after the government announced lockdown in the UK, the CALM helpline has answered 58,347 calls and webchats, and directly prevented 222 suicides.
That’s over 10,000 hours of talking to people and 526,070 chat messages exchanged around topics such as isolation, anxiety, relationship concerns, health worries, financial stress and suicidal thoughts.
Right now their life-saving services are needed more than ever and – no matter what – they’ll continue to be there for whoever needs them.
