Let the celebrations commence! Get ready for a four-day celebration marking The Queen’s Platinum Diamond Jubilee this weekend. The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
There are plenty of events happening all across London to mark the Jubilee this weekend – here’s our guide to some of the best.
The King’s Road Street Party – Sloane Square
The King’s Road Street Party is a fun, family-friendly event that takes place in Sloane Square, London. The guys over at Kings Road West London will be shutting down the streets to traffic for a one-day street party. The King’s Road Jubilee Street Party starts from 11 am until 6 pm on Saturday 4th June and will be from Sloane Square to Cheltenham Terrace.
Come together for a day hosting fun activities, food and drink and plenty of green space to enjoy a picnic. Visitors can soak in some local cultural destinations such as the Saatchi Gallery, Peter Jones and more.
If you fancy catching the Jubilee Pageant live, head over on Sunday 5th June to the Duke of York Square and bask in the sunshine! For the restless, book a rickshaw ride or a walking tour taking in the beauty of West London! The party is a great way to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Diamond Jubilee and enjoy a day out with the family.
Jubilee Joust at Hampton Court Palace
The Jubilee Joust will be one of the most exciting events of 2022! The jousting competition, which is open to both amateur and professional knights, will be held at Hampton Court Palace to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Diamond Jubilee.
The event will feature 32 knights from across the globe, competing in a series of challenges over the course of four days. With top prize money up for grabs, and the chance to become a member of The Queen’s bodyguard, the stakes are high!
Head over to this family friendly event hosted in the spectacular Hampton Court Palace Gardens. Cheer on your favourite knight as you watch them compete against each other for the Jubilee Cup! Who will joust the hardest? The competition will be broadcast live on television, so make sure you don’t miss it!

Covent Garden Great Piazza Party
This Jubilee weekend, London’s Covent Garden will be hosting The Great Piazza Party in the iconic piazza to welcome visitors with a Royal treatment. Throughout the weekend you can enjoy the best of British themed food served from different Feast It street food vendors, as well as an Aperol pop-up bar.
The Covent Garden Great Piazza Party will be held on June 3, 2022, to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Diamond Jubilee. The day will begin with a special performance of The Nutcracker by The Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House.
This will be followed by a procession of vintage cars through the streets of London, led by The Queen herself. The procession will end at Covent Garden, where there will be a street party with music, dance, and food from around the world.

The Great Estate Music Festival
If you’re heading outside of London for a BIG weekend, you want to check out the The Great Estate festival! Known as “a most rambunctious garden fête”, The Great Estate is a boutique, family festival held within the grounds of Scorrier House in Scorrier House, Cornwall.
Happening over the 4 day Jubilee weekend, the festival includes a line-up from the Manic Street Preachers, Electric Six, and The Sugarhill Gang. There’s also a series of workshops and entertainment for the kids at ‘The Playground’ area.

Largest street party in the country? Why yes! On Saturday 4th June at the 11 Arches, there will be one very special afternoon and evening of entertainment, including the return of our critically acclaimed show, Fina and the Golden Cape.
