Well known as the most popular male style focused magazine in Britain, GQ plays host to a prestigious annual award ceremony. The awards recognise excellence in Grooming, focusing on the best products on the market, including hair care, body and skin care and fragrance. At Pall Mall Barbers, we were thrilled to be recognised by GQ for our quality products, when we were short listed in 2015.
The Awards…
With categories including best fragrance, best shave and best hair care, and with renowned brands such as Dior, Lab Series, and L’oreal being featured, the annual GQ awards are highly competitive, with big names in beauty competing to be featured.
The panel features a variety of carefully selected names in showbiz and male grooming, including singer/song writer Tinie Tempah, hair colourist to the stars Josh Wood, Europe’s most skilled practitioner of cosmetic medicine Dr Michael Prager and Jessica Punter, Editor of style and grooming a GQ, among others.
With thousands of entrants, the products are carefully reviewed before being short listed, and in 2015, much to our delight, we had one of our popular products selected for the prestigious GQ awards, and this was not the first time either.
Our Product…
Hugely popular among our clients, it was our cooling post shave balm that made it into the awards this year. As the last step in our unique shaving system, the balm uses prickly pear seed oil to calm, cool and soothe the skin after shaving. Also containing glycerine, the balm works to prevent dry and rough skin, resulting in a smooth shave and reducing any discomfort.
What’s more is the Pall Mall Barbers Post Shave Balm can be used on all skin types, making it extremely versatile. With a masculine fragrance of sandalwood and clove, the product is loved by our clients, many of whom rely on it as part of their regular shaving regime, and we are proud to say that GQ loved the product too!
With antiseptic properties, the skin is well looked after and left feeling fresh. Available in a 100ml bottle, up to 200 pumps of usage, a little of the balm goes a long way, and makes the world of difference to a shave which could otherwise be uncomfortable leaving the face irritable.
